These voyages we will rediscover American & Canadian history. In late spring 2012, we’ll sail from the classic whaling harbor of Gloucester, Massachusetts, around Nova Scotia to Quebec City and Montreal, visiting Alexander Graham Bell’s house en route. During the summer months, we’ve scheduled five individual itineraries among the Great Lakes, with ports as famed as Niagara Falls and Mackinac Island—and as intimate as Sturgeon Bay, a quaint town on Wisconsin’s stunning Door Peninsula. In the autumn, we’ll voyage from Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard up the Hudson River to West Point; then the Yorktown will sail out of New Orleans to explore the historic cities and islands of the Gulf Coast, a region that offers many attractions yet is seldom visited.
